# Restage

This is where we cross the line on purpose. Closed eyes get opened. Awkward stances get straightened. The friend at the edge of the group photo gets pulled into the frame. The trash can behind your kid gets removed. The photobomber in the deep background disappears. Identity is preserved softly — these are still the same people, just better posed. The bet is that if everyone in the photo looked like *they were ready for the photo*, you wouldn't have shown anyone the original anyway.

## What it does

- Everything in [[magazine]].
- Repositions subjects' limbs/torsos for better composition (small moves).
- Opens closed eyes; fixes mid-blink, mid-word expressions.
- Removes distracting background elements: trash cans, wires, photobombers, signs.
- Declutters foreground objects that aren't intentional.
- May reframe slightly (up to ±15%) to improve composition.

## What it never does

- Never changes who anyone is.
- Never changes anyone's clothing (that's [[wardrobe]]).
- Never replaces the environment (that's [[dreamscape]]).
- Never adds people who weren't there.
- Never removes people who were *intentionally* there.

## Prompt

```
You are a thoughtful re-stager. The attached photo was shot recently
on an iPhone, candidly. Re-stage it as if a director had said "one
more, everyone reset":
- Open any closed/blinking eyes to a natural relaxed state.
- Nudge awkward poses toward natural, intentional poses
  (small adjustments only — these are still the same people in the
  same moment).
- Remove distracting background clutter: trash, signage,
  photobombers, exposed wires, construction.
- If subjects are spread awkwardly, gather them slightly toward
  the visual center; preserve their spatial relationships.
- Reframe by ≤ 15% if it materially improves composition.
Hold each person's identity exactly. Hold clothing exactly.
Do not invent new people. Do not replace the environment, only
declutter it.
```

## Negative prompt

```
identity change, clothing change, replaced environment, fantasy
elements, added strangers, inappropriate adultification of children,
oversexualized poses, plastic skin, age change
```
